I have never cheated but have been talking to a man i connected with online. He lives far away we have never met I was tempted but determined to stay in marriage and want to cut off contact I guess im posting this because i have some fear of what will happen when i stop engaging…and i know i need to Just looking for reassurance that my family is safe Help! Please dont judge me. .:( i want to do the right thing but i dont want to hurt anyone This man wants to meet and i dont want to Im sort of scared of him coming and looking for me…kicking myself

Hi Erin, Don’t worry, no judging here! If you truly want to stop contact with this man, it is better off you stop it now, rather than later. He is more likely to take it better now than if he gets really attached to you later on. Let him know that you enjoy talking to him as a friend, but you don’t want to go romantically further. Thank u Jessica for your reply. :) my marriage needs a lot of work but hes a good man. The stranger now seems unstable..that’s why im freaked out…but you’re right sooner ia def better than later :)

You’re welcome. :) I don’t see him harming you or your family, but if he seems unstable, it’s best the cut ties right away. To be on the safe side. Especially before he gets more emotionally involved.

It is never too late whilst??? both partners still wish to save that marriage?

I suspect you maybe in the situation of “loving your partner but no longer romantically in love” – it can be re-capture with work from both partners.
