This is just my own opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

There certainly are “psychics” who are frauds, and there are some who are not, who works with law enforcement for missing children, missing people, and in other venues.

Being a “psychic” is not always what it looks like in the movies. If you are an ethical advisor, your job is essentially to listen to your clients when they need someone to talk to, be non judgmental, honest, and share what information you pick up. IMHO of course.

Concerning the Catholic or Christian denomination, it would be a good idea to pray about it, and ask God what He would like for you to do, imho. Pray about it with your mom, would be my suggestion.

The bible itself is manmade; the bible is all up to interpretation many times the bible talks of prophets but being weary of false ones. For example,

I believe that if God created us, we are one with him and the hate that is in the bible humans created to conquer and divide.

My advice is that just do and be what feels right to you without fear of judgements as long as you are not practicing as a fraud and healing and helping from what is within your heart he made you this way if that is the faith you choose to believe.

She might not forgive you, very religious people have own views that we have to respect but do what feels right to you and what your heart says, you can respect her view and she can respect yours, that might come in time. Every person has gifts its if they choose to ignore or they choose to tap in and heal and help.

Again, of course some are frauds but some tune into the holy spirit and work directly alongside angels.
