Numb. My significant other, and I have dated over 2 years. Almost 3- last saw him memorial day weekend. He wanted me to go look at houses he was concdering buying. Made me happy because- I was thing he was trying have normality in our lives. He has 2 kids 17, 15. We live hours apart. Long distance. It’s been hard for me especially- I drive the 4 hrs to see him and drive back- its exhausting sometimes but I do it. He sharply said things to me that were uncalled for last night by text. I’ve missed him and last night I was hurting and upset because of it. He said, he said he wanted to end it. And that it was over. Said he was going to start dating others. He says this crap but he in reality has his kids this summer allot. I dont know why he says these things – when he knows in hurting or upset. You don’t do this to someone who has been loyal and good to you. Help me understand him

Thank you, ms serinty. I get so upset at him. Hes 50 years old. I just wished hed grow up and stop acting like this. I messaged him again this morning- nothing back. I’m trying to bring awareness to his behavior so it will stop. But – again I get no response. He always does this and yes, i tolerate it . Just trying to understand his reasonings. His childhood was horrible. He won’t talk much about it but his mom left him when he was little. He blamed himself growing up. He was very poor. Made fun of in college- he stayed to him- self. He is highly intelligent/ has a wonderful career. But I still have to think his actions stems from his past. And the way he interprets things. I always try to show regardless of how upset I am – I’m still here. And I love you. Unconditional love. Hes a wonderful dad of 2 teenagers. But he can be stubborn and hurtful sometimes- when I push for us to have more. Thanks for you time.
