My mother is starting to act like a child. I am picking up that she wants some kind of attention from me and has been acting like I owe her something. I ignore her for the simple fact that I can’t get along with her due to personality issues and the way she handles life. We are truly two different people and I’m traveling a different path that makes me happy. I think she notices I’m drifting away from her emotionally and physically. Lately, she picks on me about why I don’t say hello to her every morning. I apologize and try to please her cuz I live with her. Then she’s upset because I don’t say thank you or show my appreciation when I do. Just nagging. I just rather not be involved but she’s been pushing up on me and it’s pushing me away. How do I handle this childish behavior I’m receiving from her? It’s annoying.
