Use the rating system (e.g., a five star psychic will give you a great reading). Trying to make someone “connect” before you hire just forces people to work for FREE.
That said … I have made connections for people who seemed reluctant to hire in the past (e.g., described what they looked like) ... Sadly, they completely pass that obvious exercise in talent up and insist I answer questions for FREE. It’s like they think the psychics here are dogs waiting to entertain the masses without so much as a piece of bacon for reward.
Fact is I want free gas, free electricity, free Internet service so I can work with customers here …
NOTHING in life comes for FREE. If someone is good, their ratings will show it.

My suggestion: read the profile, see if the advisor and their style resonate with you; check the reviews, they are the credentials of an advisor; hire the advisor who interests you for a basic session during which it is best to ask things you can easily verify (short term future, present, past); if the advisor proves right for you, especially with the future part (since it is easier, and a different channel, to see the past and the present, and not everyone can read the future – the only way to actually prove a “connection” is the prediction coming true, so you have to order a prediction first), come back; if not, don’t come back.
It’s the same with visiting any professional, psychologist, doctor, counselor, you don’t “test” them, this is rude, you take a first appointment (the pay is for the counseling time) and if you feel that doctor or psychologist or advisor is not what you need or they don’t resonate, you just don’t come back. No tests, no refunds. Or you can compare it with entertainment, since psychic readings fall under this legislation and they can actually be and are a form of entertainment: you buy a theater ticket, you go to the show, you can leave the show if you don’t like it, but you can’t take your money back for the ticket or test anyone :) You just don’t come back, that’s about it.

Also you can use the demo time allotted in a reading to see if they make any kind of connection with you before you begin payment. If you are unsure you can always ask the person trying to read you if they mind extending the demo time (3 minutes) just once so you can be sure.
