I apologize in advance for the long read, but here goes…

I’m almost 24 and my mother treats me like I am so stupid or like I don’t understand anything at all—cutting me off in the middle of a sentence so she can say what she wants to say and then having temper tantrums when she doesn’t get things her way. She’s always cursing or hollering. This is childish behavior. The worst thing is if she doesn’t get her way, she is vindictive and will try to ruin you. It truly aggravates me to the bone. What is going on with her??? I can’t even deal with this no more. I feel like I’m the mature one between the two of us. I’m only cordial because (1) I live with her unfortunately and (2) taking care of household duties while she’s out of town. After she tried to threaten/hit me the day after Christmas when I had an anxiety attack (she didn’t know I was having one), I don’t deal with her too much unless it’s business. I barely discuss my personal life with her because she tries to control me. I’ve had it with her and in my mind, I’ve already left her behind trying to foster a relationship. Currently, I’m more than ready to physically leave the premises.

How can I deal with her until I’m able to be on my own? What is the relationship going to be like once I’m gone and out of the house? What will happen to my mom in the future if she keep acting the way she does? She is a menace to society.
