Antara Tarocchi (antaratarocchi)

Happy Mabon! Well, it’s that time of year again. On September 22nd, we celebrate Mabon, so here’s a little early wish for a Happy and Healthy Mabon to all the Witches and Pagans out there. Mabon is a celebration of the Autumn Equinox, the midpoint between the Summer and Winter Solstice, a time when the natural world shifts and we are called to pause and reflect. The Equinox is a moment of perfect balance, when day and night are of equal length. This celestial harmony is reflected further as the Sun enters Libra, a sign of balance, fairness, and interconnectedness. It is a day to honor the equilibrium of light and dark, activity and rest, giving and receiving, a reminder of the cycles that govern both nature and our own lives. The Harvest Mabon marks the second harvest in the Pagan calendar and is a celebration of the abundance that has manifested over the course of the summer. Historically, the modern Pagan calendar draws inspiration from Welsh agricultural societies, who celebrated the harvest of crops essential for surviving the long winter. Even today, the harvest is symbolic, reminding us to take stock of what we have cultivated in our lives, relationships, and spiritual practices. Mabon invites us to reflect on our achievements, acknowledge the lessons learned, and consider what we carry forward into the darker months ahead. The Path of Witchcraft Witchcraft and Paganism have long been misunderstood, often labeled as “evil” by outsiders. Nothing could be further from the truth. As Witches, we honor the seasons, the Equinoxes, the full moons, and the new moons. We work with the spirits of nature, attuning ourselves to the energies of the earth to create meaningful change in our lives and the world around us. Our path is not one of fear or darkness, but of alignment, intention, and conscious creation. There is nothing evil about our path. It is a sacred practice of observing, honoring, and harmonizing with the rhythms of the universe. A Mabon Practice Take a moment this Mabon to honor the season. Light a candle, breathe deeply, and reflect on the positive changes and growth you have experienced over the year. Write down your intentions, the lessons you have learned, and the abundance you wish to carry forward. You might also gather a small seasonal altar, autumn leaves, harvested fruits, or crystals, to symbolize the cycle of giving and receiving. This simple act of acknowledgment allows you to ground yourself in gratitude, honor the turning of the season, and step consciously into the months ahead. Blessed Mabon! May this Equinox bring you balance, clarity, and the awareness of all that you have cultivated. May you walk into the autumn with gratitude for the harvest and intention for what is yet to come.
