What are the consequences of “cutting the cord?”

Nothing really. You just cut the negativity with someone but never the emotional ties between the two of you. :)

I have heard different things:

Some say after cutting the cord, you will no longer feel anything for him/her.

Some others say that person will be out of your life for good after the cord is cut.

Is any of this true?
